We are announcing 129 new COVID-19 cases in South Canterbury today.

Today’s cases by Territorial Local Authorities (TLA)

  • Timaru District - 109

  • Waimate District - 11

  • Mackenzie District - 1

  • Unknown – 8 (normal place of residence has not yet been identified).

Active cases in South Canterbury

  • Timaru District - 457

  • Waimate District - 45

  • Mackenzie District – 16

  • Unknown – 24

  • Total active cases – 542.

Total cases recovered in 2022 – 84.
